Canopic Jars - Embalming Urns

CANOPIC JARS represented the four sons of Horus. Mesti is man headed. Hapi is ape headed. Tuamutef is jackal headed. Qebhsemnuf is falcon headed. They were to guard the north, south, east and west.The innards from the deceased were placed in the jars and placed next to the mummy for the next life.
